We are always on the lookout for new members of all standards and would love you to join our club. Members of Ainslie Tennis Club not only gain access to our facilities, but also receive all the benefits that come with being affiliated with Tennis ACT – insurance, entry into tournaments and pennant competitions, etc.

The Ainslie Tennis Club uses Tennis Australia’s online MyTennis site for handling all membership applications and renewals.

2019 membership fees are:

  • Adult $150

  • Senior adult $135

  • Tertiary student $105

  • Junior (under 18) $70

  • Family $245

  • Single Parent Family $170

Annual fees for new members are adjusted in April, July and October to reflect the length of the new membership.  For example a single Adult joining after 1 April and before 30 June will receive a 25% fee reduction.

Renewing member checklist:

  1. Login with your Tennis ID and password previously sent to you. If you have lost your details, select the 'I forgot my password or username' button and enter your email address. You will receive your ID and password by email and can then login.

  2. Once logged in, click on your name and then select 'Profile'.

  3. From the column on the left, select 'Memberships'. Then select 'Active memberships' - if this option is not available to you, it may mean that your previous membership has already lapsed. In this case, you will need to click on 'Find a court' in the top right corner of your screen and then enter 'Ainslie ACT 2602' or similar when presented with a map of Canberra. You will then be able to select Ainslie Tennis Club as your club of choice. Alternatively, click here to go straight to Ainslie's sign-up page.

  4. Select 'Go to club memberships', and from there select the membership type that you are looking for. Please note that all 'new' memberships will be subject to a one-off joining fee as described on the page, while all 'renewing' memberships will not.

  5. Follow the prompts relating to confirming and/or updating your personal details and contact details as required.

  6. You will be given the option of contributing a voluntary $20 donation towards Ainslie Tennis Club's court replacement scheme, as an add-on to your membership. All contributions are gratefully received.

  7. Please choose your payment method. If you choose cash or cheque, payment will need to be made in person to the Treasurer or by post to the club's PO Box.

  8. The club will be notified of your application to renew your membership and you will receive an email shortly to the effect that your membership has been extended to 31 December.

  9. Please note that for family memberships, including single-parent family memberships, Tennis Australia now requires each member over the age of 12 to have their own email address, as do all single members no matter their age. This is because Tennis Australia has decided that it wants to be able to communicate electronically with all its members. It is suggested that current or potential members that have a problem with this requirement should talk to members of the club’s executive to discuss options for meeting Tennis Australia’s requirements.

New member checklist:

  1. Login with your Tennis ID and password, or create a new ID if you haven't already got one. If you have lost your details, select the 'I forgot my password or username' button and enter your email address. You will receive your ID and password by email and can then login.

  2. Select 'Find a court' in the top right corner of your screen and then enter 'Ainslie ACT 2602' or similar when presented with a map of Canberra. You will then be able to select Ainslie Tennis Club as your club of choice. Alternatively, click here to go straight to Ainslie's sign-up page.

  3. Follow the remaining steps outlined above for renewing members. If you experience any difficulties with this process, you can always contact a committee member to get things resolved.

If you experience problems while renewing or registering your membership, please call the Tennis Australia hotline on 1800 Play Tennis (1800 752 983) or email play@tennis.com.au. Tennis Australia are well aware that the rollout of their new online system has caused problems across the country, and are happy to help any players who are finding the process difficult.

Tennis Australia requires all members to register electronically. If you do not have access to a computer and/or have no email address of your own, you are encouraged to call Participation Leader Jake Lalliard at Tennis ACT on (02) 6160 7808 and Jake will help you to arrange your membership or membership renewal once you have outlined your situation to him.
